Dr. Bentz was born in Pennsylvania where he completed his undergraduate work in Psychology at Carnegie Mellon University. He then completed his Masters and Ph.D. degrees in Clinical Psychology at Louisiana State University.
Dr. Bentz completed his clinical internships at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center Department of Psychiatry and continued his training with the completion of Geriatric Neuropsychology Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the Department of Internal Medicine. He has been licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Psychologists since 2002.

Dr. Bentz has been married for 21 years and has two wonderful boys ages 18 and 16. His wife is a Dentist practicing in Fort Worth, Texas and also primarily works with an elderly population.
